CONTRACT

Aberdair specializes in the delivery of contract aviation services in challenging and austere environments to clients in the following three key sectors:

Resource Sector

Aberdair has supported the exploration and production activities of a range of oil, gas and mining companies … predominantly in Africa … for more than 15 years. Our extensive experience has given us a thorough understanding of this sector which we call upon when working with our clients to design and deliver tailor-made aviation solutions, including our ability to comply with Local Content requirements as and where required.

Humanitarian and Peacekeeping Sector

We have had a long association with the UN’s aviation contracting bodies, both UN WFP (humanitarian) and UN DFS (peacekeeping), and our pan-African footprint enables us to respond to their requirements in a timely and cost effective manner. Aberdair has also worked with other key humanitarian agencies that require contract aviation support including International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) and a range of international Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) such as Oxfam and Save The Children.

Government Sector

Aberdair has worked with a range of host and foreign government agencies, both directly and as sub-contractor to a Prime, to provide discreet and reliable passenger and cargo air transport, special mission operations and in-country maintenance and logistical support.

With decades of experience of flying within Africa, Aberdair is able to arrange both point-to-point transfers by air as well as bespoke airborne safari itineraries with our fixed wing and helicopter aircraft

Aberdair provides a discreet (or not, depending on our clients’ wishes !!) ability to fly VIPs / VVIPs within Africa whether they be visiting for business or pleasure

Whether it be due for security reasons or an emergency medical requirement, Aberdair is able to deploy to the most remote areas of the continent to bring our clients and their staff back to safety

Aberdair can provide aerial filming services using Meeker mounts (Shotover and Cineflex compatible) on our AS350 helicopters as well as the transporting of production crews and equipment to remote locations

Be it for game count or relocation efforts, Aberdair is able to provide the aircraft and experienced crews to get the job done

Over the years Aberdair has flown thousands of survey line kilometres across East and West Africa, with a range of different technologies slung under the helicopters, for our various seismic and geophysics partners

Aberdair has specially trained flight crews and 800 litre ‘Bambi buckets’ which can be slung under our helicopters to be able to provide quick-response aerial fire fighting capability

With our diverse operations across Africa, Aberdair is able to provide fixed wing aircraft to move urgent cargo of up to 1500kgs to remote bases and mine sites as needs be
